Rowan Floyd is a “litcom” author based in Austin, Texas. Her debut novel, Too Much Heaven, releases on Nov. 4, and her short story, “The Bitches of Eastwick,” was published in the anthology, Mixed Bag of Tricks (under the name Roanna Flowers).

She also authored three award-winning short comedic films, one of which (#RIP) played in over 30 festivals world-wide including the Cannes Short Film Corner. Rowan is a former magazine editor, where she interviewed former Texas Governor Ann Richards, General Colin Powell, and composer Paul Williams. Her claim to fame was asking a question that made Ann Richards speechless.

You can frequently find her reading around town at the Smushed Blueberries open mic, One Page Salon, and more. She’s an active member of the Writers’ League of Texas and the Austin chapter of Women Who Submit.

She will begin querying her second novel, E Pluribus, this year and has started working on her third! Rowan has a B.A. in English Literature and a minor in Latin from the University of North Texas.
