Roanna Flowers,
Comedic Literary Fiction
Roanna Flowers is a comedy author based in Austin, Texas. Her short story, “The Bitches of Eastwick,” was recently published in the anthology, Mixed Bag of Tricks. She is the writer of three award-winning short comedic films, one of which played in over 30 festivals world-wide including the Cannes Short Film Corner.
Roanna is a former magazine editor, for which she interviewed Ann Richards, General Colin Powell, and composer Paul Williams. Her claim to fame was asking a question that made Ann Richards speechless.
You can frequently find her reading around town at the Smushed Blueberries open mic, One Page Salon, and more. She’s an active member of the Writers’ League of Texas and the Austin chapter of Women Who Submit.
Her first novel, Too Much Heaven, is due to publish sometime in 2026. She will begin querying her second novel, E Pluribus, later this year and has started working on her third! Roanna has a B.A. in English Literature and a minor in Latin from the University of North Texas.
