Ilene Haddad Joins Half Empty/Half Full

On Sept. 5, Armadillo Author Society member Ilene Haddad will be reading at the monthly literary comedy event, Half Empty / Half Full.

Half Empty / Half Full takes place at Coldtowne Theater’s Cabaret on the first Saturday of the month at 8 p.m. Get tickets here. Tickets are $15 plus fees.

This monthly event is hosted by comedian and poet Valerie Nies and features two readers, two standup comedians, and three judges. Each writer reads either an “optimistic” or “pessimistic” piece, with standups performing a short set that is also either “half empty” or “half full.” Judges determine “the winner,” though everyone leaves with a small plant and a lot of laughs.
